DooM Legacy A free program for Windows, by Doom Legacy Team
Doom Legacy is a modern update for the engine of the original first-person shooter Doom. The application attempts to fix many of the problems that plagued the initial release of the game. It is an open source project using the code released by the developers some years ago. The goal of the update is to provide better graphics, smoother gameplay and better performance under modern operating systems. The gameplay is all still the same pitting players against multiple levels of demons and other enemies. It is important to note that Doom Legacy is just an update of the core game engine. Users will need to already own the IWAD data files from an official version of Doom.
